Search for the Barracuda Archive app by looking in the Start menu on your computer, or check if there is a shortcut on your desktop.
Double-click the icon to open the Barracuda Archive application.
If the application requests a username and password, use the same credentials you use for Microsoft 365 applications. If you do not have these, please contact support.
Once opened and connected, enter a phrase, email, or any other keyword in the search bar to retrieve relevant search results.
The Barracuda Archive app runs in real-time, meaning every email that has passed through your account should be searchable—even if it has been deleted from your mailbox.
This is the most accurate method for searching emails and attachments.
Once you find the email, you can open it in your native email client or use the built-in Barracuda app viewer. This viewer is basic but allows you to search on systems that do not have Microsoft Office installed or configured.
As of this writing, there is also a Barracuda Archive add-in available for Outlook on PC. However, this add-in may be deprecated in future Outlook releases. Its functionality is essentially identical to that of the desktop version.
The Outlook add-in is unavailable for Mac OS, but the desktop version is.
If you cannot find the app on your system, please contact support for assistance.
Note: You will be required to re-enter your username and password in the app every 90 days for security reasons.
